CRUISE SHIP TOURNAMENTS

Bowling at Sea

Bahamas...  Southern Caribbean...  Alaska...

Finally, two great pastimes have merged. BowlingatSea.com and Norwegian Cruise Lines will be offering cruise ship tournament bowling beginning in early 2008. The two newest ships of NCL's fleet will be offering four-lane on-ship bowling alleys as part of the new freestyle cruising experience. Elimination tournaments will be offered on cruises lasting from 5-11 days. Bowling is really fun again. And bowling on a cruise ship is even better!

Participants can choose from eight different cruise packages. There will be a limit of only forty participants in each tournament. Although friends and family are welcome to join the fun, they will not be allowed to bowl during the reserved tournament hours.

Participants must be USBC members in good standing with verifiable book averages from 2006 or 2007 of 196 or below. The tournament will be conducted as a singles handicap elimination tournament. Additional tournament rules are available upon request.

With registration, every contestant receives an event Hand Towel, a Commemorative Medallion, an event Bowling Shirt, and a baseball cap. In addition there will be Cash Prizes and Trophies for the top four bowlers.

There will be either two or three rounds of bowling, and two or three games per round, depending on the length of the cruise. All tournament bowling will be conducted during reserved times while the ship is at sea.

We will require a deposit for the cabin and a registration fee of $200 per bowler. There are four different cabins available, each is double occupancy. We can offer an internet price, and an early booking price 150 days advance. Full payment is due 90 days before sailing. Insurance and other information is available upon request.
